What we collect
- Enquiry and RFQ forms: name, business email, phone, company, designation, country, city, website, product interest, technical requirements, message and any documents you upload.
- Newsletter: email address and a record of your consent.
- Technical data: a one-way hash of your IP address (for spam and abuse prevention) and your browser's user-agent string.
- Business prospect research: publicly available business information about organisations (for example company name, website, sector and published role-based contact addresses such as info@ or sales@), together with the source and date collected.
Why we use it and our legal bases
- To respond to your enquiry or request for quotation — steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To send newsletters and product updates — only with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To contact organisations that may need our products — our legitimate interest in business-to-business marketing, where permitted by the law of the recipient's country. Every message includes an opt-out, and we keep a suppression list so opted-out addresses are never contacted again.
- To keep the site and our systems secure — legitimate interest.
Who we share it with
Our staff and service providers acting on our instructions: hosting, email delivery, and — only where enabled by us — messaging (Telegram, WhatsApp Business Platform) and AI text-processing providers used to help draft and summarise business correspondence. We do not sell personal data. Internal Telegram notifications do not include your contact details.
International transfers
Our service providers may process data outside your country. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards offered by those providers.
Retention
Enquiries and CRM records are kept for up to three years after our last interaction unless a longer period is needed for an ongoing contract or legal obligation. Webhook logs are kept for 90 days. Suppression records are kept indefinitely so that we can honour opt-outs.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Email info@trafopower.com and we will respond within the period required by applicable law. You may also complain to your data-protection authority.
Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies for security and to remember your cookie choices, and a staff session cookie in the admin area. Analytics cookies are used only if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time:
We also count page visits and link clicks with our own cookie-less statistics, to see which pages are useful. These statistics set no cookies and store no IP address: a visit is counted with an anonymous code that changes every day, so visitors cannot be recognised from one day to the next. Browsers that send a Global Privacy Control signal are not counted. The records are deleted after 400 days.
Research crawler
Our research tool identifies itself as “TrafoPowerResearchBot”, follows robots.txt, rate-limits its requests, and never accesses pages behind logins, paywalls or bot challenges.
