Overview

Oil-immersed power transformers for utilities, power projects and heavy industry, built with CRGO cores and copper or aluminium conductors to customer specification.

Power transformers are used in high-voltage networks to step voltage up for transmission and down for sub-transmission and industrial supply. Trafo Power builds them as free-breathing units with a conventional conservator (with a dehumidifying breather or air-cell bladder), filled with PCB-free mineral oil, Midel 7131, silicone oil or Nynas Nytro as the customer requires. On-load tap changers with RTCC and AVR can be supplied.

Applications

  • Transmission & sub-transmission substations
  • Generation step-up
  • Utility power projects
  • Heavy industrial plants

Design & engineering features

  • CRGO core; copper or aluminium conductors
  • ONAN / ONAF cooling with corrugation or pressed-steel radiators
  • Conventional conservator, free-breathing with dehumidifier or air-cell bladder
  • On-load tap changer with RTCC & AVR above 500 kVA, on request
  • Choice of insulating fluid: PCB-free mineral oil, Midel 7131, silicone oil, Nynas Nytro
  • Indoor or outdoor installation; altitude and ambient to specification
